About me
Hello! I am Kelson Martins, a software engineer from Brazil living in Ireland.
Graduated with a Master’s degree in Artificial Intelligence from Munster Technological University Cork and a Maser’s degree in Computer Science from Griffith College Dublin, I am passionate about software development practices and more than that, passionate about solving technical problems in a simple and effective manner.
Currently
Software Engineer helping IBM to develop and deploy cloud-native security solutions using DevOps principles across major Kubernetes vendors.
Previously, I have had a big involvement with the Elastic Stack where I deployed and maintained an efficient and reliable log management infrastructure. I achieved this by deploying and maintaining a series of multi-node Elasticsearch Clusters, processing millions of events daily on its pipelines.
Technologies that I have been working with professionally include Java, Golang, Python, Git, SQL Server, Ansible, Elastic Stack (Elasticsearch, Logstash, Kibana), Graphite & Grafana, Kubernetes, Openshift, Node.js, Cassandra and AngularJS.
A while ago
In the past, I also worked for companies developing software for different sectors such as transport, food, education, manufacturing, and government focusing mainly on ERP development using a proprietary language derived from Clipper called AdvPL.
